A button assembly having a structure for preventing reverse insertion of a lamp guide member is provided to facilitate button manipulation in dark places by irradiating light from a rear portion of a button manipulation knob. Tension bars(121,122) are formed on a button frame(110) and applies an elastic force when pushed. A button manipulation knob(123) is protruded on the tension bars(121,122) and includes a coupling hole therein. A button member(100) further includes a transparent window and a pair of coupling bosses(124). The transparent window includes a hole at the center of the button manipulation knob(123). The bosses(124) are protruded under the tension bars(121,122) to be asymmetrical with the transparent window at the center thereof. A lamp guide member(200) includes an insertion portion(221), a coupler(210), a light emitting bar(222), a transparent window insertion portion(221a), a pair of boss insertion holes(211,212), and a switch push bump(223). The insertion portion(221) are inserted in the button manipulation knob(123). The switch push bump(223) is formed on a lower portion of the coupler(210). The light emitting bar(222) is formed inside the insertion portion(221) to guide the light toward the transparent window. The transparent window insertion portion(221a) is inserted into the transparent window. The light emitting bar(222) is extended to an upper portion of the insertion portion(221). The boss insertion holes(211,212) are formed in the coupler to be inserted in correspondence to the pair of coupling bosses(124). The boss insertion holes(211,212) are asymmetrical to each other with the light emitting bar(222) at the center thereof. The switch push bump(223) is deflected to a side portion of the light emitting bar(222).
