An exhaust pressure-varying device of a muffler is provided to improve an exhaust noise by making exhaust gas flow area of an input pipe decreased when exhaust pressure is low and to improve exhaust pressure of an engine by making exhaust gas flow area of the input pipe increased when the exhaust pressure is high. An input pipe(2), supplying exhaust gas fed through an exhaust pipe to a muffler(1), is combined to one side of the muffler. An exhaust pressure-varying device of the muffler has exhaust pressure-varying units(10) installed to the inner upper and lower sides of the input pipe to actively control exhaust pressure correspondently to various operation ranges of an engine. The shape of the exhaust pressure-varying unit is varied according to exhaust pressure to vary exhaust gas passing area in the input pipe.
