A communication connection method between a mobile terminal having a Bluetooth module and an AP(Access Point) is provided to minimize the current consumption of a mobile terminal having a short range wireless communication module and to make an automatic communication connection with an AP that provides a wired/wireless communication interface. A mobile communication module in a mobile terminal receives the SID and NID of a network, in which an AP is located, when a short range wireless communication module executes bonding procedures with the AP, and stores the SID_Bond and NID_Bond values(S120). The mobile communication module judges whether a channel, through which the short range wireless communication module is connected with the AP, has been disconnected(S140). If it is judged that the communication connection between the short range wireless communication module and the AP has been disconnected, the mobile communication module acquires the SID and NID of the present network and compares them with the stored SID_Bond and NID_Bond values(S160). If it is judged that the acquired SID and NID are matched with the stored SID_Bond and NID_Bond values(S180), the mobile communication module attempts a connection with the AP(S200). If the connection is made, the short range wireless communication module executes communication with the AP(S220). |
