A skate board is provided to generate a propelling power of the skate board from the sliding motion of a foot, not by lifting the rear foot and pushing the ground. The skate board includes a deck(2), a plurality of front and rear wheels(4,6), a sliding structure installed on the top of the deck(2), foot binders, an illumination unit and a power generator for rotating the front wheels(4) using the propelling power provided from the sliding motion of the sliding structure. The power generator includes a power gear(36) for linearly reciprocating during the slide motion of the sliding structure, and a driving gear(38) for converting the linear reciprocating motion of the power gear(36) to a rotational motion and thereby, rotating the front wheels(4).
