A car audio apparatus is provided to make a front panel simple and beautiful as well as to reduce a manufacturing cost. The apparatus comprises a sound source unit(100), a selection key inputting unit(200), a function key inputting unit(300), a function key displaying unit(400), a displaying unit(500), a controller(600), and a power supplier(700). The sound source unit(100) includes one more sound source modules like a radio tuner, a cassette deck and a CD player for offering various sound sources to a user. The selecting key inputting unit(200) generates a key signal for selecting one among the sound source modules. The function key displaying unit(200) generates a key signal for controlling a specified function of a selected sound source module. The function key displaying unit(400) allows a user to easily see a function of the selected sound source module. The displaying unit(500) allows a user to easily see an operating status of the car audio. The controller(600) controls an overall system according to a key inputting signal from the selection key inputting unit(200) and the function key inputting unit(300). The power supplier(700) supplies operating power for each unit.
