METHOD OF CALLING IDENTIFICATION DISPLAY USING INTERNET

A method for providing a CNIP(Caller Number Information Presentation) service using the Internet is provided to manage caller IDs through personal computers so as to provide a CNIP service to users, who use generic wire telephones. A communication program installed at a user's PC is connected with a telephone system through the Internet(S51). If call origination is attempted to the user(S52), the telephone system confirms the caller number(S53), and rings a bell to the user's phone(S54). Also the telephone system, communicating with the communication program, transmits the caller number to the user's PC(S55). The user's PC displays the caller number on the screen(S56). If the user answers the phone(S57), the telephone system connects the user's phone to the caller's phone so that they can speak by telephone(S58).
