The present invention relates to veterinary and pharmaceuical compositions which can be used for the prevention and/or the coadjuvant treatment of degenerative joint diseases in man and in animals, and also of diseases associated with pain in the periarticular restraining structures (muscles, tendons, ligaments). More particularly, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a mixture of chondroitin sulphates and an active ingredient selected from DL-alpha-lipoic acid, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or amide thereof, or an optical isomer thereof, in a proportion by weight of chondroitin sulphate/active ingredient variable from 50:1 to 1:2. |
