1288271 Sliding clasp fastener OPTI-HOLDING AG 19 Aug 1969 [27 Dec 1968] 41321/69 Heading E2S A sliding clasp fastner has rows of interconnecting elements formed from distorted helical coils of plastics filament. The coils have a long side 4 remote from the stringer tape, interlocking heads 5 at one or both ends of the elements, and connecting sections 7 between adjacent elements. The connecting sections 7, Fig. 4, may be flattened at 9 to assist attachment to the stringer tape. The elements may have a section, perpendicular to the length of the fastner which is either flattened with two semicircular ends or triangular with one semicircular end. The elements may have a core. The rows of elements may be attached to the stringer tape by insertion through slots, and/or weaving sewing or welding. (For Figures see next column) |
