An active headrest for a seat of a vehicle is provided to operate the active headrest smoothly without noise by moving the guide pin along the guide groove with the roller mounted in the guide pin while operating the active headrest. An active headrest for a seat of a vehicle is composed of a seat back frame(10) formed of a rectangular frame to support the seat back, a backrest(20) turned around a hinge and combined with the seat back frame, a support guide rod(40) combined with both sides of the backrest and connected to a headrest(30), and a guide unit(50) guiding active operation of the support guide rod. The guide unit is composed of a guide pin connecting both sides of the support guide rod, at least a roller or more installed to the guide pin, and a guide bracket composed of a guide hole combined with the roller and assembled with the frame plate of the seat back.
