The present invention relates to novel atropisomers of 2,3-disubstituted-(5,6)-heteroarylfused-pyrimidin-4-ones of the formula: <IMG> (wherein V, X, Y, Z are all C or one is N and the others are C; R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are each H or substituent; ring A' is fused 5- or 6-membered heteroaromatic ring; and R6 is phenyl or 5- or 6-membered heterocycle), pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds, use of such compounds to treat neurodegenerative, psychotropic, and drug and alcohol induced central and peripheral nervous system disorders.
