A railway covered wagon is provided to execute the opening and closing of a door reliably and exactly by a door opening and closing device. A railway covered wagon(10) has doors(20) for input and output of freight. The door is installed to a loading compartment of the covered wagon. In the door, the side constituting the side part of the loading compartment and a part of a roof extended to the upper side from the side are integrally connected, and the side of the loading compartment and a part of the roof are opened together. The doors of the covered wagon are installed to the side parts with long length. The doors comprise four doors. The door sliding and opening in a direction opens in a state of being overlapped with an adjoining door with a predetermined gap. |
