APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR OFFERING SERVICE IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A service providing method and apparatus of a mobile communication system are provided to prevent users' inconvenience and reduce a damage to other people in a public place by providing a certain suitable service to a mobile terminal in an area with a high cell density. A sensing unit senses a cell density within a cell which is a service providing unit of a mobile communication system(S100). It is checked whether the sensed cell density satisfies conditions for providing a certain service(S200). If the sensed cell density satisfies the conditions for providing certain service, a service providing unit provides a certain service to mobile stations within the cell(S300).
