A seal ring that maintains stable sealing capability for a long period. In a first seal portion (4), a line contact portion that is in linear contact with a side-wall face, on the side of fluid not to be sealed, of an annular groove is totally circumferentially and continuously provided from one side of a separation portion (2) to the other side. A linear contact portion provided at a convex portion (21) of the separation portion (2) and a linear contact portion provided at a concave portion (24) of the separation portion (2) are arranged so as to be radially separated from each other.
