PURPOSE: An optical pickup device of an optical disk drive is provided to guide one end of an optical pickup unit on a main guide by a sliding bearing, and to slide other end thereof by contacting a receiving groove with a supplementary guide, thereby reducing a frictional force generated during a reciprocating motion. CONSTITUTION: An optical pickup unit(30) disposed in an optical pickup device(100) is connected to a main guide(43) by a sliding bearing(31). A supplementary guide receiving groove portion(101) is linearly contacted with a supplementary guide(102), and guides a path for the optical pickup unit(30) accessing to and being estranged from a turn table(20). By protruding a sliding projection(101a) in a position opposed to the supplementary guide(102), an external side of the supplementary guide(102) is linearly contacted.
