The cage consists of a fixed or movable main frame (2) of parallelpiped shape with a containing frame (13) inside it that can be moved on rollers relative to the main frame and is equipped with a door (1). The movement of the main frame enables the volume of the cage holding the animals to be increased or reduced for access or treatment. The floor consists of a frame hinged to the rear wall of the cage and fitted with at least one pair of side rails for the insertion and removal of slatted panels made from metal tubes.
