The arrangement has an accessory e.g. rear vision mirror (34), that extends partly at the interior of an external fitting when it is in mounted position. The external fitting has a horizontal lower wall that is provided with an opening (38). The opening is traversed by the accessory such that it protrudes towards a base. A peripheral flange (42) presses against a lower side of the lower wall.
