The device has interrupters (40) installed in series with supply conductors (46, 47) of an electric traction engine of a vehicle. The conductors cooperate with a body (54) of a recharging device to open an interrupter for connecting a battery to a recharging energy source on one hand and for isolating engine from the source on the other hand. An Independent claim is also included for an apparatus to be connected to an electric power feeder system.
