The roof has rigid rods (5, 10-12, 60) extending along roof units (1-3), where the rod (5) is driven by an electrical motor (4) situated in the unit (3). The rods are connected permanently to the roof units, in two positions of the roof units, by twisted flexible cables (8, 9). The motor permits to lock the roof units to a chassis (120) of a vehicle, in both the positions. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle.
