RESIN COMPOSITION FOR VEHICLE BODY SHELL, COMPRISING POLYETHYLENE, ETHYLENE VINYL ACETATE AND POLYURETHANE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING VEHICLE BODY SHELL USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided are a resin composition capable of producing a vehicle body shell having practically acceptable strength, light weight and good anti-corrosive properties with lower cost by employing recycled synthetic resins, and a method for manufacturing the vehicle body shell using the same. CONSTITUTION: The resin composition for a vehicle body shell comprises 60-80 wt% of a polyethylene, 10-20 wt% of an ethylene vinyl acetate(EVA) copolymer and 10-20 wt% of a polyurethane. The method for manufacturing a vehicle body shell comprises the steps of: mounting a mold for a body shell onto a rotary molding machine; introducing the above resin composition into a material melting furnace of the rotary molding machine, followed by melting; and injection molding the molten resin through the mold while revolving a rotary disk of the molding machine upon cooling the mold to take a molded article out of the mold.
