PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of polyester filament yarn reduced weight is characterized by reducing a material cost and increasing strength, elongation, thermal dimension stability and shape stability. CONSTITUTION: Polyester filament yarn is obtained by the steps of: melt-spinning polyester resin containing over 90mol% of polyethylene terephthalate polymer and having over 0.80dl/g of inherent viscosity with a spinning draft of 1000m/min. to manufacture undrawn yarn; and then drawing and heating the undrawn yarn at under glass transition temperature(80deg.C) in draw ratio of under 3.
