A voice reproducing device and a voice reproducing method are provided to output an identifier sound which presents voice contents in the first reproduction sequence, or to output conversion sounds which present a conversion of voice contents, thereby selecting voice contents without displaying the voice contents. When the first song(MC1) having the first reproduction sequence is selected by performing a continuous skipping process, an identifier sound(SUft) is outputted to decide that the voice contents having the first reproduction sequence are selected. When the first song(MC1) is selected, the skipping is suspended to start a reproduction of the song(MC1), to clearly decide that the first song(MC1) is selected. Whenever songs after the second song(MC2) are selected, conversion sounds(SUmc) different from the identifier sound(SUft) are outputted. By counting the frequency of output of the conversion sounds(SUmc), a desired song is selected in desired reproduction sequence.
