PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame body for wall face members, which dispenses with processing of the wall face members such as logs so to have almost the same thickness or boring a through hole in the same, can form a wall surface fitted for the wall face members of different thicknesses, can reduce the number of working steps of the wall face members, is so simple in structure as to drastically reduce the number of manufacturing steps of the frame body on which the wall face members are arranged, excellent in productivity, achieves rigid fixture of the wall face members of different thicknesses by adjusting the mounting direction thereof with respect to a substrate, and is excellent in general applicability. SOLUTION: The frame body 1 for the wall face members is formed of a bottom portion 2, and front and rear bearing portions 3, 6 erected from the bottom portion 2 and allowing the wall face members 12 such as logs to be horizontally arranged therebetween. The bottom portion 2 includes a first bottom portion 4 extending rearward from a lower edge of the front bearing portion 3, and a second bottom portion 5 extending frontward from a predetermined portion of the first bottom portion 4 and having the rear bearing portion 6 erected from an edge thereof.
