The electrical auxiliary device (Z) for application to a mounting tube (HR) of a traffic device, e.g. a traffic sign, whereby at least a part of the electrical auxiliary device is held within the mounting tube. The auxiliary device can form part of a traffic data collection system or a traffic data distribution system. Independent claims are also included for a corresponding traffic sign, traffic guidance post, traffic beacon, traffic warning system, anti-collision system and toll system.
