The top has a metal or plastics flywheel (1) with a flat upper surface. It fits onto an inverted conical body (2) with a socket (3) in its apex engaging with a stub axle (5). The stub axle is asymmetrically mounted on a bush (6) which fits onto an axle (7) solidly joining a pair of wheels (8, 9). The wheels have elastic tires (10) which may run along a floor or a tabletop. A conical part of the surface of one of the tires contacts the conical surface of the top to provide a frictional drive.
