The seat section has a deep-drawn sheet metal seat pan (1) housing a cable tree (17), received in channels (8,11,12) formed in the surface of the seat pan, having a rectangular or trapezoidal cross-section and leading into one another. An independent claim for a manufacturing method for a seat section is also included.
