FIELD: military equipment. ^ SUBSTANCE: artillery piece sliding wedge incorporates a breech housing accommodating a wedge with a spring-loaded striker, a striker cock and cock axle furnished with a ledge, a spring-loaded lock to arrest the wedge interacting by its working arm with the wedge, an opening mechanism with devices opening partially the wedge in counter recoil. The breech housing also accommodates a rigidly fixed shell guide chute interacting with the wedge with the breech-lock closed. The spring-loaded lock to stop the wedge is arranged in the chute and furnished with two ledges, one of them interacting with the mating ledge on the wedge, the other one interacting with mating ledge on the spring-loaded latch arranged in the chute to interact with the mating surface of the wedge. The breech housing accommodates a breech block rigidly fastened thereon to interact with the cock axle ledge and furnished with a retain surface parallel to the wedge motion direction. ^ EFFECT: safe operation of the breech lock. ^ 4 dwg |
