<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a plastic film 1 to wrap products 2 having different widths or heights. <P>SOLUTION: A wrapping apparatus is provided. According to the wrapping apparatus, the product 2 is transferred across the plastic film 1 to side seal cutting mechanisms 9, 10, 11, 12, where the plastic film 1 overlaps the product 2. The side seal cutting mechanisms 9, 10, 11, 12 consists of an upper portion and a lower portion, between which the plastic film 1 is held. The upper/lower portions seal the sides of the plastic film 1, and cut the film 1 to form an ear. A separator plate 32 is arranged downstream to the side seal cutting mechanisms 9, 10, 11, 12 and supports the upper portion. The separator plate 32 separates the plastic film 1 from the ear and transfer them to both sides of the separator plate 32, respectively, after the plastic film 1 is sealed on both sides and cut. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
