<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier for efficiently supplying positive or negative ions generated by an ion generator. <P>SOLUTION: The humidifier 1 comprises a body 2 having an air inlet 7 and an air outlet 9, a blow passage formed in the body 2 ranging from the inlet 7 to the outlet 9, a blowing fan 15 provided in the body 2, a tray 4 mounted on the body 2 for storing water, a water absorbing filter 52 provided in the tray 4 in such a manner as to be immersed into water, an ion generating chamber 16 provided in the body 2 branching from the blow passage for short-circuit between upstream and downstream portions of the water absorbing filter 52, and the ion generator 231 provided in the ion generating chamber 16 for generating positive or negative ions, the water absorbing filter 52 being arranged on the midway of the blow passage. A resistance plate 18 is provided in the blow passage on the downstream side of an air entry 17 of the ion generating chamber 16 for giving resistance to an air flow in the blow passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
