<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of the signals to be supplied to a horizontal driving circuit of a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The horizontal driving circuit 3 of the display device consists of a shift register 31, a sampling circuit 32 and a horizontal switch (HSW) group. The shift register 31 operates in response to a clock pulse MCK to transfer a start pulse HST successively by each stage and outputs a shift pulse SR successively from each stage. The sampling circuit 32 is disposed in correspondence to the respective stages of the shift register 31, operates in response to the shift pulse SR to sample the same clock pulse as the clock pulse MCK supplied to the shift pulse SR and outputs the sampling pulses parted in terms of time from each other by each of the stages. The horizontal switch (HSW) group is disposed between a video line 33 and each signal line Y in correspondence to each stage of the sampling circuit 32 and operates to open and close in response to the sampling pulses to successively sample the video signal Video supplied from the video line 33 to each signal line Y. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
