PERSONAL COMPUTER INPUT DEVICE FOR DISABLED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and easy to operate PC input device for the disabled.

SOLUTION: The PC input device for the disabled comprises a PC body 1; a display 2 connected to the PC body 1; a laser pointer 3 which emits a laser beam L; a fixture 4 for fixing the laser pointer 3 to the user's head; a camera 5 for taking images of the display 2 and a laser spot S applied to the display 2; a tube 7 one end of which is set at the user's mouth; and a pneumatic switch device 8 connected to the other end of the tube 7 and operated by the user's exhalation and/or inhalation. The PC body 1 calculates the coordinates of the laser spot S on the display 2 according to image signals coming from the camera 5 and a mouse cursor C is moved to the coordinate position calculated.
