<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor a self-regenerating filter (DPF) to rapidly cope with it at the occurrence of abnormality. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device is provided with the self-regenerating diesel particulate filter (DPF) for collecting carbon particles included in exhaust gas exhausted from a diesel engine, and burning to eliminate the collected carbon particles by the reaction heat of a catalyst. The exhaust emission control device has a temperature detecting means for detecting exhaust gas temperature on the inlet side and exhaust gas temperature on the outlet side of the DPF respectively, and a monitoring means for monitoring the heated state of the DPF based on the difference between the detected exhaust gas temperature on the inlet side and exhaust gas temperature on the outlet side of the DPF. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
