摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state laser apparatus which changes a beam shape on a fiber incidence face so as to enable the largest output to be incident on an optical fiber. SOLUTION: The laser beam 7 emitted from a laser oscillator is reflected on 45°total reflection mirrors 9a, 9f and is condensed by an incident lens 13 and is incident on the optical fiber 14. A cylindrical lens 15 is disposed on a front stage of the incident lens 13. Since the cylindrical lens 15 is disposed on a front stage of the optical fiber incident lens and the beam is designed to be incident on the optical fiber by changing either the vertical or horizontal condensed focal distances of the laser beam, the beam shape on an optical fiber end face can be a shape closer to a square, thereby enabling the beam to be incident on the optical fiber with a peak power density on the optical fiber end face suppressed.
