PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature monitor capable of preventing erroneous judgement caused by charge of a capacitor due to a leak current, and capable of determining the propriety of a normal input for an output voltage from a temperature detecting means, when an output line of the temperature detecting means is brought into an open condition. SOLUTION: This monitor provided with the temperature detecting means 11 for converting a detected temperature into the output voltage to be output from an output terminal, an input terminal input with the output voltage, and a controller 9 for finding the temperature detected by the temperature detecting means 11, based on the output voltage, wherein an output line 15 for connecting the output terminal and the input terminal is grounded via the capacitor 16, is provided with the first and second means 17, 18 for short-circuiting the capacitor 16, and the capacitor 16 is short-circuited temporarily by the first and second means 17, 18, before starting temperature measurement, in the monitor.
