PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freezing preventive operation method and a heating system capable of preventing freezing of a heating medium on the other stopping terminal apparatus side, even when operating at least one operation terminal apparatus over a long time. SOLUTION: This heating system has a heating medium circulating circuit constituted for selectively circulating the heating medium heated by a heat source machine to a plurality of terminal apparatuses, and an operation control means capable of performing freezing preventive operation control for preventing freezing of the heating medium in the heating medium circulating circuit by circulating the heating medium to the terminal apparatuses. The operation control means performs the freezing preventive operation control, when becoming a freezing predicting state of predicting freezing of the heating medium on the stopping terminal apparatus side except for the operation terminal apparatus, when being in a partial operation state of operating only a partial operation terminal apparatus in the plurality of terminal apparatuses.
