摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion control device for a cylinder injection type internal combustion engine, capable of changing fuel injection modes at the optimum timing for favorable fuel consumption, exhaust gas performance, etc. SOLUTION: This combustion control device for a cylinder injection type internal combustion engine includes a fuel injection valve 30 to directly inject fuel into a combustion chamber. It further includes an injection mode selection changing means 130 to select/change between a compression stroke injection mode to conduct fuel injection in a compression stroke and an intake stroke injection mode to conduct fuel injection in an intake stroke based on engine operation states, and a fuel injection control means 120 to conduct control to the fuel injection valve 30 in accordance with the injection mode selected by the injection mode selection changing means 130. The injection mode selection changing means 130 determines changing timing from the compression stroke injection mode into the intake stroke injection mode on the basis of an integrated value of a fuel injection quantity, an integrated value of times of fuel injection, etc., after starting.
