PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adhesive from intruding into an ink channel from a nonadhesive region by providing a relief groove even in the nonadhesive region which is not bonded to the other plate out of plates constituting a channel unit. SOLUTION: The ink jet head comprises a supply plate 25 provided with a plurality of ink supply holes 15 constituting a part of individual ink channels wherein a part 17 for relieving adhesive being transferred in the first direction in order to bond a manifold plate 26 is formed in a nonadhesive region 25b on the outside of the adhesive region of the supply plate 25 and the manifold plate 26. The relief part 17 includes relief grooves 18 and 19 extending continuously or discretely in the second direction intersecting the first direction at a part on the upstream side of the ink supply hole 15 in the first direction.
