A cavity wall (1) consists of a rack mechanism, on which there are skins (2) on both sides. Between the skins there is insulating material or foil (4) as required. A cable channel (5) fits inside the cavity wall on top and bottom crossbeams of the rack mechanism and its open side is covered by a skin and held by a mains wiring device (6).
