PURPOSE: A gemstone polishing device is provided to increase precision for machining a facet of gems by restricting concentrated wear of a polishing surface by the gemstone polishing device revolving and rotating the polishing surface and to correct deformation of the device by regulating finely the level of the polishing surface and a housing supporting gem holders. CONSTITUTION: A gemstone polishing device(100) is composed of a polishing unit(20) installed rotatively on a base(10) and formed with a polishing surface(21) parallel to the base; a support unit(30) having a vertical feeding member(31) mounted to move perpendicularity to an axial line vertical to the polishing surface; an inclination adjusting unit(40) fixed to the vertical feeding unit and installed with a rotary shaft(41) rotated about the axial line parallel to the polishing surface; a gem holder(60) fastened to a first arm(50) extended radially from the rotary shaft to hold gems installed rotatively on a plane vertical to the polishing surface; a first motor for driving a vertical motion of the vertical feeding unit; a second motor(72) for driving rotation of the rotary shaft of the inclination adjusting unit; a third motor(73) for driving rotation of the gem holder; a first sensor(74) detecting a relative position for the polishing surface of the vertical feeding unit; a second sensor(75) for sensing angular position of the rotary shaft; a third sensor(76) for detecting the angular position of the gem holder; and a control unit for controlling each driving unit by receiving signals of each sensor.
