OPTICAL CONNECTOR HAVING SHIELDING MECHANISM

An optical connector device where there is no light leakage until immediatel y before connectors are fitted to each other. Further, a space for receiving shielding members is reduced to reduce the size of the device. An optical connector device has a first optical connector and a second optical connecto r. Shielding members for shielding light from each optical connector are provided, and the first optical connector and the second optical connector a re connected by causing the shielding members to collide to move each shielding member to a position at which the shielding member does not shield the light . After the shielding member for the first optical connector and the shielding member for the second optical connector have moved, the shielding members ar e inserted to inside the second optical connector while in a collision state.< /SDOAB>
