<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high efficiency ultrasonic motor producing a large thrust using a multilayer piezoelectric element, and to provide an electronic apparatus employing it. <P>SOLUTION: The multilayer piezoelectric element 1 comprises piezoelectric elements 10, 11, 12 and 13 laid in layers. Four internal electrodes 14a, 14b, 14c and 14d split substantially in the center of each side are provided on the upper surface of the planar piezoelectric element 10, an internal electrode 14e is provided substantially entirely on the upper surface of the piezoelectric element 11, an internal electrode 14f is provided substantially entirely on the upper surface of the piezoelectric element 12, and external electrodes 15a, 15d, 15c, 15f, 15b and 15e being short-circuited to the internal electrodes 14a, 14b, 14c, 14d, 14e and 14f are provided on the upper surface of the piezoelectric element 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
