PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color inkjet recording apparatus and a color inkjet recording method, which dispense with management of ink of each color, which make usability good, and which do not cause waste of the ink. SOLUTION: One kind of colorless ink 42 (ink contained in a microcapsule) is housed in a single ink cartridge 40. In the colorless ink 42, four kinds of small-diameter microcapsules 53 (53m, 53c, 53y and 53k), which develop magenta, cyan, yellow and black, are dispersed in a solvent 52 randomly. The small-diameter microcapsules 53 are enclosed with small-diameter capsule walls 54 which can be destroyed by ultrasonic waves with a predetermined frequency. An ink droplet of the colorless ink 42 is ejected onto a recording surface of paper 41 from an ink ejection nozzle 43 of a print head 31, according to OR signals of image signals for the four colors; the colors are developed by applying the ultrasonic waves with the predetermined frequency depending on the image signals from an ultrasonic line head unit 39; and a color image 42a is formed.
