INK ABSORBING MATERIAL, INKJET TYPE RECORDING APPARATUS, LIQUID INJECTION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink absorbing material which prevents ink from overflowing to the outside even when an inkjet printer is placed in a tilting posture. SOLUTION: The ink absorbing material 23 disposed in a recess formed at a platen set opposed to an inkjet recording head has at both ends in a main scanning direction, tongue parts for folding to project in the main scanning direction. Guide parts 23a and 23b are formed by folding the tongue parts. When the guide parts 23a and 23b contact a waste liquid collecting means, the ink absorbed by the ink absorbing material 23 is guided to the waste liquid collecting means via the guide parts 23a and 23b. Faces which define the outside of the guide parts 23a and 23b are located at the distal end parts in the main scanning direction. Thus formation of an ink stagnating part is avoided even when the inkjet printer is set in the tilting posture, and the overflow of the ink to the outside can be prevented.
