PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert binary image data generated to a certain image output device into binary image data to a predetermined image output device without deteriorating its image quality. SOLUTION: This image processor is made to acquire the binary image data to a first image output device and screen data indicating a screen used in the case of generating the binary image data and to specify the screen based on the screen data. Then, after extracting contour data indicating contours of a thing picked up in the binary image data based on the screen, the binary image data are converted into multilevel image data by using the specified screen and the extracted contour data. The image processor converts the multilevel image data into the binary image data by using the predetermined screen after performing image processing according to output characteristics of the predetermined image output device to the multilevel image data.
