PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly test a speaker at the time of manufacture, etc., without preparing an audio apparatus for the speaker. SOLUTION: When the speakers 20L, 20R to be used by combination with an audio reproducing device 10 are tested, the speaker connection terminals of the audio reproducing device 10 are connected to an audio recording device 30 via attenuators 42L, 42R with a prescribed attenuation amount. The audio reproducing device 30 reproduces an audio signal for testing and a reference signal. The reproduced signal is recorded in a prescribed medium in the audio recording device 30. The recorded medium is mounted on an audio reproducing device which is different from the audio reproducing device 10 to which the speakers to be tested are connected. The reference signal is reproduced for adjustment to obtain a prescribed output state. Then the audio signal for testing is reproduced, so that the speakers are tested. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
