PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner which excels in transparency, image quality, low-temperature fixing stability, and grindability at the time of production when an OHP form is printed and which makes possible the practical application of a polyolefin resin having a cyclic structure of high safety based on the environmental problems as well. SOLUTION: The toner is manufactured by stages of intnernally adding a C9-based petroleum resin having a mass average molecular weight (Mw) exceeding 3,000 to a mixture composed of at least a binder resin and a coloring agent, kneading the mixture and subjecting the obtained composition to grinding and classifying. The internal addition of the C9-based petroleum resin having the mass average molecular weight (Mw) exceeding 3,000 makes possible the practical application of the toner using the polyolefin resin which satisfies the transparency, the image quality, the fixing stability, the grindability, and the low-temperature fixibility and is free of the environmental problems.
