PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for preventing resonance which suitably avoids resonance of an exposing device, and realizes high image quality and low noise, even when it is unnecessary to design resonance prevention of a casing for each model of image forming devices, and the frequencies of the generated oscillation range almost continuously. SOLUTION: The device prevents the resonance of the exposing device 5 mounted on the image forming device with a oscillation source, is provided with: a pressurizing mechanism 8 configured so as to pressurize a pressurized part 9 of the exposing part 5; and a control device for control the pressurizing operation to the pressurized part 9 of the pressurizing mechanism 8, and is configured so as to change the natural frequency of the exposing device for the pressurized state and the non-pressurized state.
