PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a domestic radiation meter which is easy to use and manufacturable at low cost, capable of reading simply detected radiation dose in comparison with a natural radiation dose, and which is devised so that the intensity of the radiation dose surrounding a human body can be known easily. SOLUTION: This radiation meter, constituted of a radiation detector, a preamplifier, a main amplifier, a wave height discriminator, a counter and a bar graph display, uses a PIN photodiode element as the radiation detector, displaying the detected radiation dose as a stepwise quantity by the bar graph indicator, and correlating the displayed quantity as a variable in a graph printed on a casing of the radiation meter, to thereby enable easy comparison of the detected radiation dose with the natural radiation dose.
