PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable bracket installing structure to a header tank of a heat exchanger, for securing sufficient joining strength, by closely and temporarily fixing and brazing a bracket into close contact to the header tank. SOLUTION: This bracket installing structure is formed by installing the bracket 5 on the header tank of the heat exchanger. The bracket 5 is formed into a structure having a close contact part 12 brazed in close contact to the header tank 4, and a positioning claw part 14 inserted into a positioning hole part 10, and projecting in the header tank 4, without contacting with the positioning hole part 10 formed in the header tank 4, and installed in the header tank 4 by fixing the positioning claw part 14 in an opening peripheral edge part of the positioning hole part 10 in an inside surface 4b of the header tank 4.
