PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide copper powder which has excellent oxidation resistance and excellent electric conductivity. SOLUTION: Silicone oil containing at least one kind of functional group selected from among a mercapto group, an amino group, an amide group, an epoxy group, a carboxyl group, a carbinol group, a methacrylic group and a phenol group is treated to copper grains, and is made present on the surface of copper. The modified silicone oil is preferably treated in the range of 0.2 to 20 wt% to the copper grains, and when the quantity to be treated lies in the range, desired oxidation resistance can be obtained while maintaining the electroconductivity of the copper grains.
