PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fouling and breakage of print paper when folding the print paper, and to improve folding accuracy. SOLUTION: In a folding roller device FR, an interval adjusting means 4 capable of adjusting an interval between a pair of rollers according to the thickness of the print paper is provided so as to always position an inserted folding blade at a generally center of the pair of the rollers after establishing the interval. A compressing spring member 51 is made have smaller drag to force in a compressing direction than that of the compressing spring member 61. When the print paper W0 or section W1 is inserted between the pair of the rollers by the folding blade 800, the first roller 1 is accepted to move in a direction increasing the opposite interval of the pair of the rollers according to the thickness of the the print paper W0 or section W1.
